In an effort to make my story accessible to individuals from the country where the subject matter originates, this narrative has been composed in both English and Japanese. It is my hope that the dual language presentation will not cause any inconvenience.

I want to tell my story of buying the most unusual car ever. Sometimes, some things happen spontaneously and thoughtlessly. However, many of them often have an intense and often long-forgotten history. That's what happened to me. Relatively recently, I was reviewing old photographs dated 2015 and saw that I had an off-road motorcycle and a large SUV. And a dream. My dream is to have a car with a body in which I can carry something. Perhaps this dream was born even earlier.

However, in 2015, I bought an old Soviet car and began its active reconstruction. The vehicle spent about three years in the first workshop and still needs to finish working there. The second workshop also took about one year and still needs to be completed. And now my beautiful unfinished black matte pickup has been in the third workshop for what I feel is four or five years, and they can finish it either. So, it's understandable it's hard to finish something when you don't have a client around. And I'm far away. I'm thousands of miles from where the car I was building. So, I said goodbye to the idea of completing the cost of the vehicle and closed this project even in my head in the spring of this year.

Sometimes I feel like it was the right decision, but most of the time I regret not seeing my dream car in motion. I got attached to the idea of having the car I dreamed of as a teenager, so when I said goodbye to that dream I had no idea what I should do next. I felt stuck, like there was nowhere to go. I knew I needed to accept the situation and find a way to move on with my life, but I couldn’t seem to get out of the funk I was in. I told myself to focus on other things and to keep working on my other projects, but the disappointment was still there.

I recently watched a video about motorcycles on YouTube. I saw this seemingly harmless video of guys taking away small motorcycles in trucks. And on small trucks. They took away their small motorcycles and enjoyed riding them somewhere. And here is the actual video attached below.

But in this video, I paid more attention not so much to motorcycles as to small trucks. They touched me, and I fell in love with them. And in my subconscious, dreams that sat there for perhaps 10 or even 15 years responded that I would have a car with a body where I could put something. And, of course, the perfect thing I put in the back of a pickup truck was my dirt bike. And it so happened that I had an off-road motorcycle for almost all my life. Because I really love it. I like to go somewhere in nature in the mud and ride through the forest with my soul.

This video gave me the motivation and inspiration to purchase the perfect truck that could carry my bike with me everywhere I would go. I knew it would take a while to find the perfect truck, but I was determined to find it. After months of searching, I finally found it. It had all the amenities I wanted, it was in my price range, and it had the perfect size that could easily carry my dirt bike.

I began to figure out what models of such small trucks were. Ultimately, I realized that 3~4 models were produced in Japan due to the requirements of the sixties or seventies. These are small trucks with tiny engines designed for the city streets of Tokyo. And they have so captured my attention because they are excellent. Ultimately, I realized there is little difference between models of cars produced 20 or 30 years ago. So, I just started looking at Japanese auctions for a vehicle of this class of this size in good condition with low mileage due to insufficient money. That is very cheap. Because it is a toy, I do not intend to spend a lot of cash on it.

So I did my research and contacted a few car dealerships and auctions. I asked question about the models, prices, and the best conditions for my desired truck. I was lucky to find many people who had experience with these particular models. They told me about the features and how to maintain them. After visiting a few auctions and dealerships, I finally found a small Japanese truck that caught my attention. The truck was in good condition with a low mileage, plus, the price was within my budget. I was so excited to get it and drive it around the neighborhood. It may seem like a small thing, but it has brought a lot of joy and happiness to my life. I am so happy to have found this truck and to be able to drive it around, making memories that will last me a lifetime.

I understand that such a car costs about $700, $1,000 or $1,500, which is really cheap. Shipping costs some money but is not critical. However, then I began to think that mostly all these cars were white and some rusty. So, I looked up the cost of painting the car here in the UK because I don't want to drive it all the way to Europe to some country where it's cheaper by 500 or 1000 pounds sterling. So, I realized that the final version of the car to look like I can use it and to satisfy my requests to be the way I want it would require another £3,000 investment. Which I didn't like. Because five, six or seven thousand pounds sterling to spend this is already expensive, this toy price turns into something I don't like.

However, when I looked at what is available in Japan for sale, I came across this golden miracle, this golden nugget, this golden tadpole. And he just won my heart. I fell in love with this little creature. And as you can see, I couldn't get past it because this is a fantastic deal. So, I decided to buy it for about a week. Weighed the positives and negatives. I considered how often I use my dirt bike.

I weighed how much I would use this new toy as a mini truck. Ultimately, it's the end of December, and my birthday is January 1st, so do not buy something ordinary I decided to give myself such an exciting gift as a mini truck. Which in fact cost like a suitcase that I was considering giving myself for my birthday. Yes, I give myself gifts on my birthday because no one gives me any relaxed, more or less expensive skills anymore. I expect the car to take time to come. It should arrive in March or April next year. That is, delivery will take three or four months. There is no haste. But I'm glad I made this decision, and I'm so happy that I gave myself such an exciting toy for my birthday.

The seller in Japan confirmed that they received all my money as payment for the car and its delivery to Southhampton, England, yesterday or the day before. Furthermore, they told me to expect an e-mail from the delivery service within the week which will give me more details on the delivery of my new little wonder to England.

On this day, a supplier from Japan wrote me an email and asked me to confirm my full name and address. Since I had already provided all the information to them previously, they only asked me to verify that everything was correct so they could issue the final invoice. They needed to prepare the shipment and the complete documents for loading the car onto the ship. The guys also added that there is currently no information on when the vehicle will be loaded onto the vessel, but they are doing their best to make it happen as soon as possible. They will inform me about the loading shortly.

I wondered if there was a way to track the location of the ship carrying my car. To my pleasant surprise, I found several websites where you can virtually see the ship's location in real-time as it transports your cargo.

I received a message from the shipping company that owns the ship. They offered their services for customs clearance and payment of customs duties as well as VAT, all in the United Kingdom. They also confirmed that the ship is expected to arrive on the 15th of April, which pleased me greatly. The company is named after what is written on the ship's side. The cost of the services is quite reasonable: £70 for customs clearance and £35 for the payment of import duties and VAT to the state treasury. Overall, everything is fair and great. They also mentioned that once the ship arrives at the port of Southampton in the UK, they will inform me about the completion of customs procedures and importation and the possibility of collecting my car for free within seven days. After seven days of free parking at the port, a daily rate of £13 will apply. I happily confirmed my intention to use the services of this organisation for the entire process of receiving my car.

The vessel departs from the Suez Canal and is commencing its journey to Southampton, UK. The estimated arrival time is 4am on the morning of the 15th of April. My importing agent will be present to oversee the vehicle disembarkation and facilitate all necessary customs procedures.
